Why Do We See Things Differently? by Nem Bajra
I have four sisters, and each of us sees things differently.
I remember when we went to visit our uncle's new house. The first thing I noticed was the shape and structure of the house. My first sister was attracted to the beautiful flowers in the garden. My second sister noticed the playground with a swing. My third sister simply found a quiet place to sit, while my fourth sister ran straight to the guava tree.
We were all in the same place, looking at the same surroundings. Yet each of us was drawn to something different.
For a long time, I never understood why we see things so differently.
Then I learned about the Five Wisdom Energies.

What is energy?
Everything around us can be understood as energy. We ourselves are made of energy, and we are constantly transmitting and receiving it. Whether we are aware of it or not, we are affected by the energy around us.
But how do we experience energy?
One way is through color.
The Five Wisdom Energies are represented by five colors: Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, and White. Each color has a different quality.
Blue gives us a sense of clarity. Yellow gives us a feeling of richness and abundance. Red brings a sense of passion and connection. Green conveys activity and action, such as sports. White gives us a sense of spaciousness.

Although we can experience all five energies, each of us may sense one more easily than the others.
Once I understood this, so much started to make sense. My sisters were not being difficult or careless when they noticed something different from what I noticed — they were simply moving through the world with a different energy leading the way. My sister drawn to the flowers was seeing with Yellow, delighting in richness and beauty. My sister who ran to the swing was moving with Green, drawn to activity. My sister who found a quiet corner was resting in White, at ease in spaciousness. My sister at the guava tree — perhaps Red, following her heart straight to what she loved.
Recognizing our primary energy doesn't limit us to it. It simply gives us a starting point — a way of understanding why we move through a room, a conversation, or a decision the way we do. It also helps us understand each other. When my sisters and I argued as children, I often thought they simply weren't paying attention. Now I understand we were each paying attention to something real — just not the same thing.
For me, it is Blue — the energy of clarity. When I look at a house, for example, my attention naturally goes first to its shape and structure. I want to understand how it is designed and how it works.
Blue is my primary energy.
